Crestomer® 1152PA Structural Adhesive

Flexible Urethane Acrylate Structural Adhesive for High-Performance Composite Bonding

Crestomer® 1152PA is a market-leading, pre-accelerated two-part structural adhesive based on unsaturated urethane acrylate chemistry in a styrene monomer. Designed for demanding composite applications, it combines exceptional flexibility, high structural strength, and low exotherm cure behaviour to deliver durable bonds with minimal risk of print-through or surface distortion.

With over 100% elongation at break, Crestomer® 1152PA is a truly flexible structural adhesive, offering outstanding fatigue and impact resistance in service. Its highly thixotropic, non-sag formulation allows controlled application on vertical and complex joints, while reduced styrene emissions improve workplace conditions compared to traditional systems.

    • Structural bonding of composite components

    • Assembly of GRP mouldings

    • Marine structures and internal components

    • Diesel tanks and contour joints

    • Bonding of “green” FRP

    • Replacement of mechanical fixings in bonded joints

Processing & Application

Crestomer® 1152PA is supplied pre-accelerated and requires only the addition of a medium-reactivity MEKP catalyst.

  • Catalyst level: 2% MEKP (e.g. Butanox® M50)

  • Apply using spatula, trowel, or dispensing equipment

  • Maintain application temperatures above 15°C

  • Substrates should be clean, dry, and free from contamination

  • Light abrasion is recommended for aged laminates

Additional pigments or fillers are not recommended, as they may affect cure behaviour and adhesive performance.
