The KINETIX laminating epoxy systems have been formulated for the fabrication of fibreglass, aramid and carbon-fibre composites using wet-lay-up, vacuum bag and resin infusion laminating processes. The range includes resins of different viscosity, and a choice of hardeners with different cure rates. Each resin / hardener combination has it’s own unique handling characteristics, cure schedule and physical properties, and provides a wide variety of working times, viscosities and thixotrophy.
Ideal for the fabrication of parts requiring high strength and lightweight, the KINETIX systems are used in a variety of industries including performance racing yachts, automotive components and high performance sports equipment.
KINETIX R118 is a very low viscosity epoxy formulated for vacuum infusion applications that enhances fibre-wetting, and enables the production of void-free laminates that have excellent moisture resistance.
Advantages of KINETIX R118 infusion systems over polyester and vinylester systems include:
KINETIX R240 is used for “state of the art” high performance construction and excellent mechanical properties are produced in carbon fibre, aramid and E/S fibreglass laminates. R240 has high elastic modulus, very high extensibility and impact toughness, and is much less brittle than the resins used in general purpose, high-viscosity pre-pregs.
Controllable high fibre content, reliable and repeatable results, at a lower cost and reduced level of handling and fabrication complexity R240 presents a strong, versatile system for the manufacture of highly loaded, advanced composite structures.
TECHNIFILL pre-filled systems simplify mixing when fairing and/or filling are the main focus. Both TECHNIFILL combinations cure to lightweight, easily sanded compounds that can be used to create a smooth surface that appears “fair”to the eye and touch.
The TECHNIREZ range of coatings address the varied needs and demands of industrial, commercial and DIY users. The formulations are solvent free offering significant advantages over traditional solvent-borne coatings, including low odour and non-flammability.
The coatings are tough and durable, and have excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates, and also provide excellent abrasion, moisture and chemical resistance.
