KINETIX® R246 – Extended Working Time Laminating Epoxy System

KINETIX® R246 is a low-viscosity, solvent-free laminating epoxy formulated for room-temperature or low-elevated-temperature cure. Designed for fibre composite construction, R246 provides excellent wet-out, smooth laminate consolidation & reliable performance in both hand lamination & machine impregnation applications.

With relatively low reactivity, R246 offers significantly extended working times — often up to 100% longer than R240 when matched with compatible hardeners. This extended processing window makes R246 ideal for large, complex or high-area laminating projects where controlled open time & predictable handling are essential.

When paired with hardeners H126, H128, H160, H161 or H162, R246 provides a full range of pot lives & cure profiles. Mechanical properties are excellent across all combinations, with each hardener producing strong, tough laminates & delivering elevated HDT values — typically 5–10°C higher after post-cure.
