KINETIX® R240 / H341 – High-Flow Wet-Preg Epoxy System

The KINETIX® R240 / H341 system is a specialised, high-flow, low-viscosity epoxy formulation engineered for custom wet-preg composite manufacturing. Designed for advanced structural applications, the R240/H341 combination delivers exceptional flow, long working time and superior laminate consolidation—ideal for high-performance carbon, Kevlar® and glass fibre structures.

At the core of this system is a unique curing chemistry that enables wet-pregs to be cured at comparatively low temperatures (50–60°C) without sacrificing interlayer fusion, resin flow or mechanical performance. This eliminates the common issues encountered with dry or hot-melt prepregs cured at similar temperatures, resulting in consistent, high-quality laminate consolidation. The reduced cure temperature requirement also enables the use of lower-cost tooling, making the system suitable for both specialised manufacturing and advanced prototype development.

R240/H341 delivers excellent mechanical properties, including high elastic modulus, exceptional extensibility, superior impact toughness and reduced brittleness compared to general-purpose, pre-made high-viscosity prepregs. The system offers a pot life of approximately 24 hours and wet-preg open times up to 48 hours at 25°C, providing manufacturers with outstanding processing flexibility.

Built for state-of-the-art composite construction, the R240/H341 system is trusted where precision, performance and structural reliability are critical.
