Epifanes Polyurethane Clear Satin

Two-Component Satin Urethane Varnish for Ultra-Durable Interior & Exterior Finishes

Epifanes Polyurethane Clear Satin is a hard, scratch-resistant, two-component aliphatic urethane varnish engineered to deliver a refined satin finish with exceptional durability. Formulated with advanced UV filters, this varnish protects timber from discoloration while offering superior resistance to water, alcohol and aggressive household chemicals.

Designed for both interior and exterior varnish systems, Polyurethane Clear Satin performs especially well on dimensionally stable woods such as marine plywood. Its robust satin sheen is ideal for high-use areas including cabin soles, companionways, salon tables, benchtops, steps and interior furniture, where long-term abrasion and chemical resistance are essential.

This finish is intended as the final satin coat in a two-component varnish system and should always be applied over several high-gloss build layers—such as Epifanes Polyurethane Clear Gloss, Epifanes PP Varnish Extra, or epoxy resin—to ensure proper film build, clarity and UV protection.

Field of Use
      • Satin finishing coat in full two-component varnish systems

      • Interior and exterior use on dimensionally stable wood

      • Perfect for: cabin soles, salon tables, interior furniture, trim and joinery

      • Maintenance of intact 2-component varnish systems, regardless of brand

      • Over epoxy: apply a high-gloss varnish first for improved adhesion and clarity

      • On bare wood: always begin with multiple high-gloss build coats
