R60 Structural Epoxy Adhesive

Designed as the structural workhorse of the TECHNIGLUE range, R60 delivers consistent performance across varied substrates and job types.

Formulated to cure at room temperature with TECHNIGLUE H60 hardeners, R60 produces durable waterproof structural bonds with excellent mechanical strength. The thixotropic gel formulation provides excellent gap-filling capability and sag resistance, allowing precise application on vertical surfaces and uneven substrates.

With strong adhesion across multiple materials and high load-bearing performance, TECHNIGLUE R60 is widely used across marine, civil construction, industrial fabrication and composite manufacturing applications where reliable structural bonding is required.

Its structural epoxy chemistry ensures long-term durability under load, vibration and environmental exposure, making R60 an ideal adhesive for multi-material assemblies and demanding bonding applications.

STRUCTURAL EPOXY ADHESIVE PERFORMANCE

TECHNIGLUE® R60 is engineered for demanding bonding applications where structural strength, durability and substrate versatility are critical.

The formulation provides excellent adhesion to porous and non-porous materials including timber, composites, metals and concrete, allowing reliable bonding across mixed-material assemblies.

The thixotropic gel consistency ensures the adhesive remains in place during application, maintaining consistent bondline thickness while filling gaps between irregular surfaces.

This makes TECHNIGLUE R60 particularly effective for construction, marine and composite fabrication applications, where reliable bonding across large structural components is required.

KEY PERFORMANCE FEATURES

Typical Applications

TECHNIGLUE® R60 structural epoxy adhesive is widely used in applications requiring strong bonding across multiple materials.

Typical applications include:

  • Structural timber bonding
  • Composite component assembly
  • Marine construction and repair
  • Civil construction and infrastructure projects
  • Concrete and masonry bonding
  • Industrial equipment fabrication
  • Multi-material structural assemblies

CARTRIDGE APPLICATION OPTION

TECHNIGLUE R60 is also available in a 2:1 cartridge system, providing:

• Controlled mix ratio
• Clean, repeatable application
• Reduced mixing error
• Faster application in production environments

WHAT IS A STRUCTURAL EPOXY ADHESIVE?

Structural epoxy adhesives are high-performance two-part systems designed to bond components that experience mechanical load, vibration and environmental exposure.

Unlike laminating resins, structural adhesives are formulated with thixotropic fillers that allow the adhesive to maintain thickness within the bondline while filling gaps between irregular surfaces.

This enables reliable bonding in applications such as:

• Timber and laminated beams
• Composite structures
• Metal frameworks
• Concrete and masonry assemblies
• Hybrid composite-metal structures

Once cured, structural epoxy adhesives form high-strength thermoset bonds with excellent durability and chemical resistance.

WHEN TO USE TECHNIGLUE R60

Use R60 when:

• Your project involves multiple materials
• You need one adhesive across the entire build
• Bond surfaces are uneven or require gap filling
• You need reliable structural strength in varied conditions
• You want to standardise on a single adhesive system

BUILT FOR REAL-WORLD BUILDS

TECHNIGLUE® R60 is designed to integrate into real-world workflows where multiple materials are used across a single structure.

Using one structural adhesive across the build reduces:
• Material complexity
• Application variability
• Risk of adhesive mismatch

This enables more efficient assembly and consistent structural performance.

What materials can TECHNIGLUE R60 bond?

TECHNIGLUE R60 bonds effectively to timber, concrete, metals, fibreglass, stone, plastic and composite materials, making it suitable for structural bonding applications where multiple substrates must be joined reliably.

TECHNIGLUE R60 is a structural epoxy adhesive designed for multi-material bonding, including timber, metal, concrete and composite substrates. Its gap-filling, non-sag formulation makes it suitable for applications where traditional adhesives cannot maintain bondline thickness or structural integrity.

HOW TECHNIGLUE® R60 COMPARES TO TOUGHENED ADHESIVES

TECHNIGLUE R60 and R15 serve different structural bonding roles.

R60 — Multi-Material Structural Adhesive
• Designed for bonding across timber, composites, concrete and metals
• Excellent gap filling and surface tolerance
• Ideal for large assemblies and varied substrates

R15 — Toughened Structural Adhesive
• Optimised for metal-to-metal bonding
• High peel resistance at metal interfaces
• Used where fatigue and peel performance are critical

For applications requiring toughened metal-to-metal bonding with enhanced peel resistance, see TECHNIGLUE R15 Toughened Adhesive.
