ProBalsa® — High-Density End-Grain Balsa Core for Superior Strength

ProBalsa® is a premium organic structural core material made from end-grain balsa, featuring a natural micro-honeycomb cell structure that delivers exceptional shear strength, compressive performance and fatigue resistance. As one of the most efficient high-density core materials available, ProBalsa® provides outstanding stiffness and energy absorption at a very competitive weight, making it ideal for dynamic, high-load composite structures.

Engineered for versatility, ProBalsa® is compatible with a wide range of resin systems — including epoxy, vinyl ester and polyester — and performs reliably in both ambient and elevated-temperature prepreg curing environments. Its low Fire, Smoke & Toxicity (FST) profile and strong thermal/sound insulation properties further enhance its suitability across marine, wind energy, transport, industrial, architectural and civil engineering applications.

Easy to machine using standard woodworking tools, ProBalsa® can be drilled, milled, sawn and shaped with precision, ensuring fast processing and clean edges for accurate fitment in sandwich laminates.
