KEY PERFORMANCE TECHNIGLUE® R5 Structural Epoxy Adhesive
High-strength, toughened epoxy adhesive for critical composite and metal bonding.
TECHNIGLUE® R5 is a high-performance, solvent-free structural epoxy adhesive engineered for reliable bonding across composites, metals, timber and engineered substrates. The toughened formulation delivers exceptional bond integrity, excellent peel strength and superior resistance to micro-cracking, ensuring long-term durability in demanding applications.
Designed for room-temperature cure, R5 features a thixotropic, gap-filling consistency that is easy to apply on vertical or uneven surfaces while maintaining precise bond lines. The advanced chemistry enhances fatigue and impact resistance, making it ideal for bonding carbon fibre, Kevlar®, fibreglass and a wide range of metals.
Widely used across marine, transport, industrial and architectural sectors, TECHNIGLUE® R5 is suited to structural assemblies, composite components, metallic interfaces and prefabricated systems where strength, durability and reliability are critical.
ENGINEERED FOR MULTI-MATERIAL STRUCTURAL BONDING
KEY PERFORMANCE TECHNIGLUE® R5 Structural Epoxy Adhesive
When using TECHNIGLUE® R5, all bonding surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from grease, dust, and loose particles. For optimum bond strength, the adhesive must be able to fully wet both substrates. This is best achieved by preparing the surfaces to a uniformly roughened, matt finish, promoting strong mechanical adhesion.
