R85 — High-Temperature Structural Adhesive

TECHNIGLUE® R85 is a high-performance, toughened structural epoxy adhesive engineered for bonding applications exposed to elevated temperatures. Designed to maintain strength and durability up to 120°C, R85 delivers reliable structural performance where conventional epoxy adhesives can soften or lose integrity.

Formulated for multi-material bonding, R85 provides excellent adhesion across metals, composites, ceramics, timber and stone. Its thixotropic paste consistency offers superior gap-filling capability and sag resistance, allowing controlled application on vertical surfaces and uneven substrates.

With high peel resistance and load-bearing performance, TECHNIGLUE® R85 is ideal for industrial, transport, marine and composite manufacturing applications where both structural strength and thermal stability are critical.

Its advanced epoxy chemistry ensures long-term durability under heat, mechanical load and environmental exposure, making R85 the preferred solution for demanding structural bonding environments.

Structural Epoxy Adhesive Performance

TECHNIGLUE® R85 is engineered for structural bonding applications where temperature resistance, durability and substrate versatility are essential.

The formulation delivers strong adhesion across both porous and non-porous materials, including metals, composites, ceramics and timber, enabling reliable bonding in mixed-material assemblies exposed to elevated temperatures.

Its thixotropic consistency ensures the adhesive remains in place during application, maintaining consistent bondline thickness while effectively filling gaps in irregular surfaces.

This makes TECHNIGLUE® R85 particularly suited to industrial, marine and transport applications, where structural performance must be maintained under heat, load and long-term service conditions.

KEY PERFORMANCE FEATURES

Where To Use R85

R85 is specifically engineered for applications where temperature resistance and structural performance must coexist.

Typical uses include:

  • Industrial equipment exposed to heat
  • Transport and automotive structural bonding
  • Marine engine bays and high-temperature zones
  • Metal-to-metal structural bonding
  • Composite-to-metal assemblies
  • General structural bonding where thermal stability is critical

PERFORMANCE POSITIONING

Not all structural adhesives perform under heat.
TECHNIGLUE® R85 is formulated to retain mechanical strength and bond integrity in elevated temperature environments where standard epoxy adhesives can soften, creep, or fail.
