TECHNIFILL™ XP R1160 – Lightweight Epoxy Fairing Compound

TECHNIFILL™ XP R1160 is a pre-thickened, lightweight, two-part epoxy fairing compound designed for high-quality fairing in marine, industrial & general composite applications. Its thixotropic formulation provides excellent hold-up on vertical surfaces, ensuring smooth, controlled application across a wide range of substrates including fibreglass, timber & suitably prepared metal surfaces.

With an easy 1:1 mix ratio by volume, the blue-tinted resin & white-tinted hardener blend to a light blue colour, providing a clear visual indicator of complete mixing. The system spreads cleanly, cures to a smooth, low-density surface & sands easily to an ultra-fine finish — ideal for fairing hulls, decks, superstructures, mouldings & composite components.

TECHNIFILL™ XP R1160 is solvent-free, low toxicity & formulated to minimise shrinkage during cure, ensuring excellent surface stability & long-term durability. When fully cured & sealed with an appropriate epoxy coating system, R1160 delivers strong adhesion, reliable moisture resistance & compatibility with most paint systems.
