KINETIX® R110X – Bright-White Surfboard Laminating Epoxy System

KINETIX® R110X is a solvent-free, high-clarity laminating epoxy formulated specifically for surfboard production using a 2:1 resin-to-hardener ratio. Designed for use with H125 Standard or H130 Fast hardeners, R110X delivers rapid room-temperature cure, excellent fibre wet-out, and a smooth, bloom-free surface ideal for modern surfboard manufacturing.

Optimised to enhance the brightness of white EPS and PU blanks, R110X produces exceptionally clean and bright cosmetic results. The system adheres strongly to polyester and polyurethane topcoats, ensuring reliable long-term finish performance.

With two hardener speeds available, fabricators can select the ideal turnaround time for their workflow. The H130 Fast hardener allows flip times as quick as 3 hours and sand readiness in approximately 5 hours @ 25°C, enabling production cycles similar to polyester resin systems. The H125 Standard hardener provides longer working time for larger or more complex laminations. Actual curing speed will vary with ambient temperature.

R110X offers excellent toughness and high resistance to yellowing, providing extended durability under normal surf conditions.
Note: R110X is not recommended for surfboards requiring a clear timber or clear carbon aesthetic. For those applications, use KINETIX® R104.
