KINETIX® R135 – Ultra Clear, Bio-Based Surfboard Laminating & Filler Epoxy System

KINETIX® R135 is an ultra-clear, UV-stable, high-performance epoxy system designed for premium surfboard laminating & filler/hot-coat applications. Engineered to deliver industry-leading cosmetic clarity with exceptional mechanical strength, R135 produces bright, crisp, bloom-free finishes ideal for modern surfboard construction.

Developed as a bio-based, solvent-free formulation, R135 incorporates renewable feedstock and components derived from existing industrial by-products. The cured system contains an independently verified 26% bio-based carbon content, providing surfboard manufacturers with a high-performance, environmentally conscious alternative to conventional epoxy.

R135 cures rapidly at room temperature and is suitable for laminating timber, EPS & PU foam blanks with E-glass, flax, carbon and hybrid fibre reinforcements. Its excellent UV resistance, low odour, fast fibre wet-out and superior yellowing resistance make it an ideal choice for clear, coloured or composite performance surfboards.

When paired with KINETIX® H135 Fast Hardener, R135 delivers polyester-like production speed with epoxy-grade clarity, strength & durability — enabling surfboard builders to achieve premium results without compromise.
