Duratec® Vinyl Ester Mold Repair Putty – Orange 1808-007

High-Strength, Fast-Curing Repair Putty for Composite Molds & Tooling Surfaces

Duratec® Vinyl Ester Mold Repair Putty 1808-007 is a premium, thixotropic putty designed for rapid, high-quality repair and rebuilding of production molds, composite tooling, and FRP surfaces. Formulated with ultra-fine fillers to minimise air entrapment, the putty spreads smoothly, cures quickly, and sands easily—delivering a durable, low-porosity repair surface that blends seamlessly with surrounding tooling areas.

With a high heat distortion temperature of 150°C (300°F), Duratec Mold Repair Putty withstands elevated temperatures, high exothermic environments, and demanding production cycles without softening or print-through. Sandable within 20–30 minutes and polishable to a high-gloss finish, it restores mold integrity fast and reliably, keeping tooling in production with minimal downtime. Catalysed with 3% BPO paste for consistent, controlled curing.

Key Features

Quick Cure

Catalyses rapidly with BPO paste; sandable in as little as 20–30 minutes for accelerated repairs.

HDT of 150°C (300°F) ensures stability in high-temperature or high-exotherm environments.

Ultra-fine fillers reduce air entrapment, producing dense, strong, pinhole-free repairs.

Can be trowelled up to ¼ inch per application; thicker builds possible with layered application.

Cures to a tough, easily sanded and polished finish for seamless mold blending.

Easy to spread, shape, and tool for precise contouring of repair areas.

Formulated to meet strict performance standards for dependable repair outcomes.
