Crestabond® M1-20 Structural Adhesive

Primerless MMA Structural Adhesive for High-Strength, Multi-Material Bonding

Crestabond® M1-20 is a toughened, two-component methacrylate (MMA) structural adhesive engineered for fast, reliable bonding of composites, metals, and thermoplastics. Designed for productivity and versatility, M1-20 delivers high strength, toughness, and fatigue resistance without the need for primers—significantly reducing surface preparation time and overall production cost.

With a non-sagging formulation, controlled working time, and excellent gap-filling capability, Crestabond® M1-20 enables consistent structural bonds on vertical and complex assemblies. Its broad substrate compatibility and wide operating temperature range make it suitable for demanding structural and environmental applications.

Applications

Crestabond® M1-20 is recommended for:

  • Structural bonding of composite assemblies

  • Bonding composites to metals and thermoplastics

  • Marine, transport, rail, and industrial fabrication

  • Replacement of mechanical fasteners

  • General-purpose structural bonding where speed and toughness are critical

Processing & Application

Crestabond® M1-20 is supplied as a two-component system for cartridge or bulk dispensing.

  • Ensure substrates are clean, dry, and free of contamination

  • Light abrasion can further enhance long-term bond durability

  • Dispense until a uniform mixed colour is achieved before bonding

  • Complete assembly within the stated working time

  • Maintain application temperatures within the recommended range

The primerless nature of M1-20 reduces process steps, but application trials are recommended for critical or unfamiliar substrates.
