Epifanes Classic Mahogany Stain

Quick-Drying Rich Red/Brown Mahogany Impregnating Stain

Epifanes Classic Mahogany Stain is a fast-drying, impregnating stain developed specifically for bare mahogany and other marine hardwoods, enhancing timber with a deep, rich red/brown mahogany tone. This stain accentuates natural grain detail while providing consistent colour across new or weathered surfaces.

Suitable for interior and exterior applications above the waterline, Classic Mahogany Stain can be applied in up to three coats to intensify the colour. Once dry, the stain is fully compatible with all Epifanes one-component and two-component varnish systems, allowing seamless integration into traditional or high-performance coating systems.

It may also be mixed (maximum 10%) into Epifanes varnishes to create lightly tinted coats—ideal for camouflaging colour variations, achieving a more uniform appearance, or warming the tone of existing finishes.

Field of Use
  • Colouring bare mahogany and other decorative marine woods

  • Interior and exterior brightwork, cabinetry and joinery above the waterline

  • Restoring or enriching colour on aged mahogany components

  • Preparing timber before high-gloss or satin varnish build-up

  • Mixing into varnish systems for colour correction or warming tone

  • Maintenance use on intact varnish systems to restore colour uniformity
